Gorges de L'Areuse

On Thursdays I only have school until 12 so I often go somewhere and adventure in the afternoon. This Thursday one of my best friends Jade, from Wisconsin and I went to the Gorges de L'Areuse. The gorge de l'areuse is a narrow valley between the mountains. This is a hike that we did before but didn't finish because we didn't know that it kept going. She lives in La Chaux de Fond in the Canton of Neuchatel and I live in the Canton of Fribourg, we like a good hour and 15 away from each other but somehow manage to successfully meet up and create good memories. Now that it's the end of the year all of our Swiss friends are busy studying and don't have a lot of free time so it gives us an excuse to see each other. We started our hike at the train station of Noiraigue and walked 3 hours through the gorges to the train station is Boudry. The hike in the gorges was easy, as it's flat and normally it should only take 3 hours but we went swimming, had lunch and took a lot of photos so it took us about 5 hours hahaha. We met a class along the way and started talking to the teacher who is a photographer. It was nice to talk to him and he told us some of his favourite places to go so hopefully we can go and visit them one day!

Boudry ---> La Champ de Moulin

Moments after this guy caught a fish! This place is definitely a fisherman's dream

So many fishermen

Jade and I in a tunnel and the teacher/photographer we met took this pic for us!

Waiting for the train to go home :)

There are fountains like this all over Switzerland with potable water! (It bothers me a bit that they are running 24/7 but you win some you lose some)
