First week with the Fasels

It's been eventful! I arrived on the Friday and started unpacking my bags and settling in. The Saturday was my host moms birthday and some family came over so I got to meet everyone. That night we went to dinner in Schwarzsee and later went to a small live rock music show. Sunday we got organized for the week, my host dad and sister showed me the way to walk to the bus stop to go to school and we went over rules and questions and all that fun stuff. We had some family over for lunch and ate cheese fondue! Later that night my host dad took me to a volleyball game in Düdingen, it was good but not a close game and our team won. Now we'll see how going to and from school goes from my new location! On Mondays I will be going to a step class with my host mom! :) One night we went to the Ice Palace in Schwarzsee and it was so well done and beautiful with all the lights. On Sunday we went skiing in Schwarzsee and ate Raclette.

I didn't think about taking a picture of the meal until it was over... at least the dessert is pretty!

Changing host families

Well.. It's that time. I can't believe my exchange is half over. Time is going by so fast it's crazy. I spent my past 5 months with the Glauser family, their 3 cats and 2,000 + pigs. Throughout this time I have learnt so much and grown mentally and physically (because of the excessive amount of cheese and chocolate I have eaten). I had an amazing start to my exchange and I am looking forward to what is coming my way. My host family has done so much for me and I am so thankful to have had the chance to live with them. I am now moving pretty far away from this family with the Fasel family. Until next time Glausers!
all packed up! to be honest I don't know how I'm going to get all this stuff back to Canada...

Tchüss!

unpacking :(:

Parting from my alarm clock(s)

As you may know for the past 5 months I've been living with over 2,000 pigs. It's been quite the (loud and smelly) experience. This was the last chance I had to see the little & big piggies.
