The Autoverlad is a train for people to go on with their cars. I didn’t even know that this existed until my host dad asked me if I had ever been on it. The views were nice!

Zermatt

Fresh snowfall = happy Hannah! Although I don’t know how to ski powder properly I was pretty excited to cut some fresh tracks! I got a couple good ski days in during the holidays, there’s no better way I would’ve wanted to have spent them. 

I also went to the movie theatre in Zermatt and I made fondue for lunch!

Fuchs bakery

My host dads cousin and her husband have a bakery in Zermatt and I got to go back in the kitchen and see how everything is made! I first saw how their chocolate is made and the process of hand decorating all of the different chocolates with special details. Then we went to the pastry section and saw how they made Berliner donuts, apple fritters, churros, bread and the list goes on. Did I do some taste testing? You bet I did! I mean, who wouldn’t have tried Zermatt's finest pastries fresh out of the oven?

Grooming Zermatt

I got a really cool opportunity to sit in a snow groomer and groom Zermatt! I always appreciate nice corduroy runs and for once I got to actually tag along and live the behind the scenes! I tried to get some good pictures but it was a pretty bumpy ride and the windows were dirty so many of them didn’t turn out.
